Joy Perfume

I stumbled upon this great perfume site dedicated to Joy Perfume by Jean Patou. I was searching online for a place to purchase the sweet smelling stuff and was delighted by the content rich blog dedicated to it. A little history on Joy Perfume, Joy has always been advertised as "the worlds most costly perfume" and has been around since the 1930s. However, this is not your grandma's perfume. Joy Perfume is for the joyful, and young hearted. This sweet floral fragrance consists of Jasmine, Roses,Ylang ylang, tuberose, and Michelia alba. Even with all the floral ingredients Joy smells more like "platonic idea of a flower, not one particular earthly manifestation." according to wikkipedia.

Joy was marketed as the most costliest perfume because it is expensive to produce. Each bottle has 10,000 jasmine flowers and at least 28 dozen (yes 10,000 jasmine flowers and 28 DOZEN roses) roses. All in all, this stuff simply smells wonderful. I've been spraying it on my bed so I can fall asleep to it and smell like it. I obviously wear it like normal perfume too, but I recommend only one or two sprays.

Jean Patou also makes a handful of other fragrances like 1000 for women, Joy for women, Sublime for women, En Joy for women, Patou Forever for women, and Un amore Patou for women to name a few. There are a few others I haven't listed but these are the most popular ones. Most of them have shower gels, lotions, soaps, parfum sprays, etc. available in the various scents. Of course they all come in different sizes/amounts. If you're unsure of which Jean Patou scent is right for you, buy the 1oz bottle of a couple of them and test them out.

You can find the Joy Perfume blog I mentioned at that link. I highly recommend at least checking it out. They have links to the best places to buy Joy perfume/ joy parfum as some call it.
