The secret of organic hair products

Sometimes I post general information on organic hair products just so people who are reading this for the first time will be able to understand how important they really are. I found this hubpage that does a great job giving a high-level overview on why to go organic!

Having beautiful hair is one of main priorities when it comes to taking care of your appearance. That is why it is important to use products which will prevent your hair from becoming dry, thin, grey, lifeless and getting dandruff or even hair loss. Today, most shampoos and conditioners and the rest of hair products contain all kinds of harsh chemicals which lead to short term and long term hair issues. This is where organic hair products come in. Organic hair products are by far your best choice if you want to dodge any problems with your hair. Every hair product you can think of, now also exists in an organic form; from shampoos and conditioners, hair gels, sprays and hair repairs.

Organic Hair Products Benefits

First of all, they are 100% natural, meaning there are no harmful chemical ingredients involved and contain only natural plants and herbal extracts. Organic hair products do not have SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulphate). That means that they do not foam like the „normal“ shampoos. SLS is used in degreasing engines in industrial facilities, so obviously it is not good for your hair or your skin. Hair companies use SLS because they have established that consumer like to see that the product is „working“. SLS can irritate the skin and cause rashes and even more serious damages if used continuously for decades, especially if you are more of a sensitive type.

By applying organic hair products the hair root grows stronger and the follicles in your hair open up and grow faster. They are mild and hypoallergenic so anyone can use them. Of course, organic products do not perform animal testing and the organic ingredients are fully biodegradable which means that they are environment friendly. And one last thing, organic hair products are generally less expensive than chemical-based hair products. Of course, there are also expensive ones just like in any product category. But for a lower price you will get a better treatment. You can not beat that.

I also just want to add to this that if it doesn't say USDA organic then you might not be purchasing an actual organic hair product.

Joy perfume, perfume center reviews

Found these great joy perfume reviews at the perfume center. See what others are saying:

Joy Perfume Reviews
Joy perfume was introduced by Jean Patou in 1930. This fragrance is a rush of jasmine and flowers that comes across as delicious and complete. The floral notes blend in well with the darker base of musk, moss, and woods; providing a feeling of comfort and sensuality that lasts long throughout the evening. Joy perfume is a more feminine fragrance than many from its time and brings a smile to the faces of the men that walk by.

I was looking for something to lift my spirits and thought I would try the old classic, JOY. I liked the story behind its inception, the idea that it is not worn by everyone these days and after a long search I found it in a small but lovely Parfumerie in Aachen. Joy is very special, subtle, and clean yet has that unique complexity found in great perfumes. I love the way it slightly changes through out the day and am really happy when I have it on. Joy is aptly named.

Organic Hair Products

Today, I'm going to write my own post on Organic Hair products, and why they are great.

People around the world use hair products that contain harsh chemicals, our bodies are not equipped to cope. Until the day comes when the cosmetics industry is regulated, we consumers are responsible to inform us about what our face and body are derived. I chose to blog about this because there is ample evidence that the chemicals are harmful and fatal use in cosmetics in the world these days, and unless we do a conversion to organic hair care products or something better you can really mess up our body.

hair products are made with organic ingredients, much less chemically treated and are usually extracted from plants and natural sources. You must pay attention to the words "organic" and "natural" these days, as they closed the business and consumer preferences, and these things and is composed of some masterful marketing makes you feel great to buy the product because ' tag in front of their organic condition is a "natural" when in reality there is only one organic substance inside, and the rest is ordinary schmorgus poisonous concoction. hair accessories, and we must be careful because you can produce a "natural" ingredients, which are further processed, so that none of the benefits of the original plant and is mixed with other things that make them dangerous.

You have to read labels: the search for "100% organic" logos of official bodies in quality control (if you live in a country where these exist) and ask around and get advice from other users of mental health on what organic hair products they use.

There you can buy online, alternative medicine shops, organic markets, and many other places in recent days. organic hair products are becoming very popular because of cultural change in their consciousness and become more aware of the real danger of a lathering up toxic chemicals and rubbing them into our scalp and massage the leaders of some seriously ill on chemicals a daily basis!

Some chemicals that are very common in a typical non-organic hair containing sodium lauryl sulfate, low-cost chemicals, which makes the foam on the form, and in turmoil, and is also a common ingredient in industrial de-greasers. Another common chemicals and asbestos, the vile substance known to cause cancer, repeated exposure period. And this is just the beginning, there are many others. Common non-organic products in supermarkets today, skin irritants such as silicone oil and polymers, which are often responsible for dandruff, itching and irritation of a lot of experience. Some people even hair loss in response to these chemicals, and in general know that their cause is the shampoo.

The fact is that it is your hair things running through your hair and day_ _Every head. If you stop and think about the fact that in the long term, over the years and decades of constant use, constant to be absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream ... this is not a nice thought

It happens time: the chemicals our bodies slow down gradually, and over the decades have built and have a great influence on us. It 'very important to use a normal shampoo with your children because their skin absorbs chemicals faster than adults, and most are still developing their immune system so that their bodies are more prone to develop problems if harmful substances in their bodies. So it is very important to use the traditional shampoo and conditioners are your kids if you can avoid. Our bodies simply are not capable of dealing with chemicals, which are the non-organic hair products on the shelves of our supermarkets. As I said, these chemicals are absorbed through the skin and get into our blood stream, slowly and over time they accumulate in our bodies and living organisms, because these organs are unable to metabolize some of these chemicals.

And they accumulate in our bodies and poison us with time, and sometimes lead to cancerous tumors and other serious health problems. This is not attractive to me why I was looking for healthier alternatives to typical chemically dependent hair care products we use every day. Organic hair conditioner and shampoo is much more natural if we do not have to worry about carcinogens and other harmful substances will be stored in our bodies every day while using them. That means better health in the long term for us as we age.

And not only organic hair products healthy for our bodies, they are healthier for the environment because they are produced with less pesticides on plants they are made, and in some cases, no. This means that we harm the earth while producing less natural organic shampoo or conditioner, which is beneficial to us all. And since these organic products have fewer or no chemicals in the last bottle we use, whether organic or organic sunscreen moisturizer, or all, we also damage our environment at least when they are thrown into our shower drains and sinks.

Joy Perfume - vintage packaging

I know I've been all about the vintage stuff when it comes to joy perfume, but it's so cool to me because the fragrance has been around and popular for so long. Would you buy Joy perfume if it still came in packaging like this?

A project for Illustration 2 (now known as Concepts + Metaphors). A packaging redesign of Jean Patou's Joy perfume, which is consider the most expensive commercial perfume you can buy. For my redesign I wanted to gear the perfume to a younger crowd, so I thought more fashion editorial. I took one of the definitions of the word Joy (4. a state of happiness or felicity) and made is into a textile.

I then later put the textile one a box template I made.

I found that joy perfume box's image on flickr, just an fyi!

Organic Hair Products - What's up?

Hey again, thanks for comin back! The following is an awesome, but pretty long, article on organic hair products in general. It talks to organic shampoo, organic conditioner, as well as some benefits on why going organic is great. This article also came from organichairproducts.co, great stuff here. Enjoy!

Today, people everywhere are using hair products that contain harsh chemicals that our bodies are not equipped to handle. Until the day comes when the cosmetics industry is regulated, we the consumers are responsible for educating ourselves on what exactly our facial and body products are made from. I’ve chosen to blog about this issue because it is widely documented that harmful and deadly chemicals are used in beauty products all over the globe these days, and unless we make a switch to organic hair products or something better, we can really screw up our bodies.

organic hair products white flower Organic Hair Products

Organic hair products are those made with far fewer chemically treated ingredients and that are typically extracted from plants and more natural sources. You have to be wary of the words “organic” and “natural” these days because companies have caught on to the consumer preference of these things and have composed some masterful marketing to make you feel great about buying their product, because the label on the front of their organic conditioner is “organic”, when really there’s just a single organic ingredient inside and the rest are the usual toxic schmorgus concoction. And with natural hair supplies, you have to be careful too because it’s possible for a product to be made of “natural” ingredients that have later been processed so much they retain none of the original benefits of the plant and have been mixed with other things that make them harmful. You have to really read the labels: look for “100% organic” logos of official quality control organizations (if you live in a country where those exist), and ask around and elicit the advice of other health-minded people about what organic hair products they use.

You can buy them online, at alternative health stores, organic markets, and many other places these days. Organic hair products are becoming very popular as our cultures shift in their consciousness and become more aware of the real danger inherent in lathering up toxic chemicals and rubbing them into to our scalps and massaging our heads with some seriously unhealthy chemicals–on a daily basis!

organic hair products lathered Organic Hair Products

Some very common chemicals found in your typical non organic hair products include sodium lauryl sulfate, a low-cost chemical that makes the lather form and foam up and is also a common ingredient in industrial de-greasers. Another common chemical is asbestos, an infamous substance known to cause cancer with repeated exposure over time. And that’s just scratching the surface; there are a host of others. The common non organic products in the supermarket today have skin irritants such as silicone and petroleum polymers that are often responsible for itchiness and the irritating dandruff many experience. Some people even experience hair loss in response to these chemicals and they’re typically unaware that it’s their shampoo causing it.

The thing is, these are your hair products–things you’re running through your hair and on your head _every day_. If you stop and think of the effect that has in the long run, over years and decades of constant use, constantly being absorbed in through your skin and into your blood stream… it’s not a pretty thought

It happens over time: the chemicals slowly enter our body, little by little, and over the course of decades, they build up and have a big affect on us. It’s especially important to not use regular shampoos with your children because their skin absorbs chemicals faster that adults’, and on top of that they are still in the process of developing their immune systems, so their bodies are more susceptible to developing problems if harmful substances are present in their bodies. So it’s super important to not use the traditional shampoos and conditioners on your children if you can avoid it. Our bodies simply are not equipped to handle the chemicals that comprise the non organic hair products on the shelves of our supermarkets. As I said, these chemicals get absorbed through our skin and get into our bloodstream, little by little, and over time, they build up in our bodies and our vita organs because those organs are incapable of metabolizing some of these chemicals. And so they accumulate in our bodies and poison us over time, and sometimes lead to cancerous tumors and other serious health problems. This is not appealing to me, which is why I’ve been searching for healthier alternatives to the typically chemically loaded hair care products we use every day. Organic hair conditioners and shampoos are much more natural, so we don’t need have the worry of carcinogens and other harmful substances getting absorbed into our body each day while using them. This means better health in the long run for us, as we get older.

And not only are organic hair products healthier for our body, they are healthier for the environment, as they’re produced using fewer pesticides on the plants they’re made from, and in some cases, without any. This means that we damage the Earth less while producing natural shampoo or organic conditioner, which is beneficial to all of us. And since these organic products have fewer or no chemicals in the final bottle we use–be it organic moisturizer, or organic sunscreen, or organic anything–we also damage our environment less when we rinse them down our shower drains and sinks.

organic hair products shelves Organic Hair Products

The prices of organic hair products are typically a little higher than their mainstream counterparts, bottle for bottle. They take more time and effort to produce and so that reflects in the price of each product. But the truth is that after switching to organic hair products, you’ll start using less product to accomplish your same beauty regimen as before, and therefore each product will last you longer. So you’re likely to be spending less or about the same amount of money on a product that is healthy for you instead of harmful!

In short, be aware of what you’re using on your skin and choose organic hair products whenever possible. It may not seem like much, but our bodies are being constantly bombarded these days with chemicals in the hair and beauty products we use, our food, the air we breath, and the water we drink, and you probably don’t want to be adding to that if you can help it.

Organic Hair Products - Stop killing yourself!

I found an absolutely fablous article on organic hair products at OrganicHairProductsReview.com. So if you have some time after you read this sweet article I found below you should check that one out too. It talks about why to go organic, which is what this blog is all about! This article below is from organichairproducts.co and the title is what caught my eye "stop killing yourself and start choosing organic products". So I just had to share:

When you look at the ingredients list of a lot of the big name commercial brands of hair products being sold today, you have to wonder why on earth people are still using them.  These products containing petroleum polymers, silicons, synthetic colorants, and a lot of other bad stuff, often lead to hair loss, dandruff, and skin irritation.  At the other end of the health spectrum lies the organic hair products, made with natural plant extracts and other natural ingredients that moisturizer and nourish your hair without any of the nasty side effects to your body or the environment.

organic hair products flower Stop Killing Yourself And Start Choosing Organic Hair Products

There some very harmful synthetic chemicals being used in popular big-name brand hair products being sold in stores today.  A lot of them include ingredients like silicone and having petroleum based polymers that really irritate the skin and, for a lot of customers, cause itchiness and flaking/dandruff problems.  Hair loss is even common with some of the “regular” hair products being used today.  Compared to the mass of ordinary hair products being sold out there, there are relatively few genuinely good hair care products, that use completely natural ingredients, being sold today.

It is our job as consumers to find out what ingredients are being used in the hair care and beauty products we’re using on daily basis, because if not ourselves, nobody is going to look out for our well being.  If you don’t look into what is contained in the very products you use on your face and the rest of your body each and every day, you are running the very likely risk of rubbing carcinogenic chemical substances on your skin each day, unknowingly, and that is a scary prospect.

When you’re using a product that doesn’t have natural ingredients, you’re using a product with synthetic chemical ingredients, and these chemicals can really cause a lot of damage to our hair and our scalp.  These chemicals actually burn and dry out a lot of people’s hair, and you probably don’t want that, especially when you’re paying for the product that does that to you!

Organic hair products work fantastic benefits into your health and, when you use a produce like an organic conditioner, you add so much shine to your hair while also genuinely nourishing it, instead of damaging it as you otherwise would with a regular hair conditioner.  We’re also finding out with more research that using organic hair products makes your hair grow a bit faster and more voluminous over using an ordinary shampoo/conditioner/hair spray!

What you get from hair care products that are not organic in nature are ingredients that are chemically based. These can cause a great deal of damage to your hair and scalp, as you’ll often find that the chemicals that are included in many of the big name brand hair products burn your hair or dry it out.  So the next time you’re shopping for a hair product, or even a sunscreen or moisturizer, make the less damaging and far healthier choice and make it organic hair products, an organic sunscreen, an organic moisturizer, that makes it into your shopping cart.

Great content and a fun organic hair products read!

Organic hair care, Henna hair color

I'm always trying to diversify this blog so you have something new and exciting to look over. This week I want to direct our focus on organic hair color. Specifically henna hair color. See the following article on why organic hair color products rock!

Natural hair care products are synthesized very minimally, and do not contain artificial softeners, soaps and perfumes. They only contain certain artificial additives, so that the products remain in good conditions.

On the other hand, organic hair care products are manufactured without synthesizing. These products are developed without using chemical pesticides, fertilizers, artificial additives, fungicides, colors and do not contain irradiated products as well. Therefore, there is no possibility of having any side effects due to use of products made from organic products

Natural products do not contain artificial additives, but they are still synthesized and work wonderfully for your hair. Such products remain longer and you can use them without having to worrying about their effectiveness.

Organic products also work best, because they provide all the essential nutrients to your hair. Since, these products do not have traces of artificial additives, yet they are beneficial for the hair and you do not have to worry about any potential side effects. Therefore, it entirely depends on you whether you want to go for natural hair care products or organic hair care products.

Natural and organic hair care products include shampoos, conditioners, styling gels, lotions, anti tangling lotions and so on.

Organic Hair Products a healthier choice

I just found a wonderful ezine article on organic hair products by an "expert author" Paul Avalon. He discusses how/why organic hair products really are a healthier choice. Here's what he has to say:

As we learn more about the health risks of using the chemicals found in ordinary shampoos and conditioners on a daily basis, more of us are switching over to healthier hair products. Organic hair products are popping up more and more today as they become more popular in the minds of consumers.

When talking about organic hair products, we're referring to things like organic shampoos, organic conditioners, as well as natural hair gels and sprays, organic hair repair, even organic sunscreen; there are a lot of different types of natural hair products out there on the shelves, today, and they have become quite popular.

Made from naturally produced ingredients without the use of as many pesticides (and with some products: none) and without animal testing, they are healthier than the synthetic chemical concoctions that are "normal" shampoos and conditioners. Organic shampoos and conditioners also won't lather up the same as normal ones usually because they don't include the chemical (usually Sodium Lauryl Sulphate) that does that. The popular shampoo and hair product companies have found that people like to see that the shampoo is "working", so they include SLS because it's a visual way of verifying your hair is being cleaned, and it is very cheap. But it's also very unhealthy for you, used in degreasing engines in industrial complexes, and it often irritates the skin and can lead to rashes and even more severe problems with continued use over years and decades.

People with long hair especially are migrating to organic hair products because of their increased need to take good care of their hair than those with shorter locks because, obviously, their hair has to last a much longer time than those with short hair who cut it frequently. As a result, those with long hair often take more measures to ensure the health of their hair and to prevent damage, so they especially want to opt for a more natural hair product. Using products that contain all natural ingredients instead of cheap, harmful chemicals is advised for all, but even more so for those seeking a gorgeous head of long hair.

The benefits of using organic hair products are that you will look better on the outside, but also feel better on the inside. Your hair will look healthier because you're no longer exposing it to harsh treatment of drying, irritating chemicals each day. You will feel better in the long run because you haven't been absorbing a bunch of synthetic, toxic junk into your system. The effect of toxins in our system is hard to detect because they poison us over a long period of time and, as humans, we typically only notice things like this if their onset is relatively sudden and rapid. The normal shampoos and hair products are essentially poisoning us but we typically don't notice it because it takes a long time--years and decades--for their affects to show up in our bodies. But they do affect us--they are affecting us--only we aren't attributing any of our ailments to these chemicals we're rubbing into our bodies on a daily basis, and we get sick without recognizing the source of our disease.

With that in mind, I hope you'll make a healthier choice the next time you shop for a bottle of shampoo or reach for some hair spray at the store. Read the labels to check the ingredients, and don't settle for toxic products any more. Check out what organic hair products are available to you. Everything you spray and rub and put on your skin gets partially absorbed into your body and then you have that in your blood. Choose wisely.

Very wise article on Organic hair products, hope you enjoyed it like I did!

Organic Hair Products: Healthier for your hair and body!

I found a great, informative article on organic hair products and how it's healthier for your body. Organichairproducts.co wrote this lenghty, but informative article on how organic hair products are not only great for your hair, but have a huge impact on your body too.

Organic hair products are showing up in stores with increasing popularity these days. People are making the move from the traditional bottle of synthetic chemical shampoo, with all its unhealthy toxins, to healthier products–organic products.

There has been considerable attention on the chemicals found in our regular hair products over the past decade, with experts warning us of the hazards of using these products on a daily basis. Some of us heed the warning because we recognize the danger, while most carry on in ignorance, but what I want to look at is why those who have switched did so, beyond simply the dangers of not jumping ship.

Organic Hair Products Toxins Abound Organic Hair Products: Much Healthier For Your Body

Some of the benefits of going organic in your hair care and body products are that you actually moisturize your scalp and skin and your hair instead of drawing moisture out of them and drying them up. You nourish your body instead of damaging it when you use an organic moisturizer or protect yourself from the sun with an organic sunscreen. Natural oils like coconut oil, hemp oil, and olive oil in organic products put moisture back into your hair and increase the lustre and shine of it, and give your body what it needs to stay healthy and look its best. On the other hand, the popular normal hair products found on store shelves all over the world today contain chemicals like Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), Polyethylene Glycol, as well as Asbestos and Parabens and and other substances that are toxic to our body, which dries hair up and damages the root, as well as causes the dermis (skin) to dry up and often flake (dandruff, anyone?)

Think about this: why is is that people have dandruff on their head but they typically don’t have any other problem with dry skin on their body nearly as bad, to the point of it flaking off? Right–it’s because they aren’t rubbing that garbage chemical concoction onto any other part of their body on a regular basis! We just do it to our head!…

It’s scary when you think about what is contained in these bottles, the effect it has on our scalp, the fact that we absorb a lot of those chemicals, and consider what our head houses… our brain! Scary indeed!

People who have switched to organic conditioner and shampoo products tend to stay organic after switching because they notice the difference: their hair looks better, feels better, and they feel healthier overall, inside. The benefits go on and on, but these are just some of the main ones.

Overall, using organic hair products represents a significant improvement in the quality of your health, if you consider how often and regularly you use these products. The major health factors in our life have to do with the food we eat, the exercise we get, the sleep we get, and the products we use on our bodies. By selecting organic hair product, you’ll be improving that aspect of your health by a lot and find yourself much better off in the long run. Your body will thank you.

Thanks again for the awesome information! I'll be sure to post more from this blog in up coming posts. That's all on organic hair products today, thanks for checking in!

Benefits of organic shampoo and conditioner products

I'm always stressing the importance of organic hair products. Today I’m going to share with you some information from Global Healing Center.com I found on benefits to using organic hair products, specifically shampoos and conditioners. Notice they mention Aloe Vera as something to look for! Just like I suggested in a previous post. yessss!

Benefits of Organic Shampoo & Conditioner Products

In many types of organic shampoo and conditioner, you will find ingredients such as certified organic tea tree. This particular ingredient has been used for a long time to treat a variety of skin conditions, including bites, dandruff, burns, and blisters.³ Certified organic tea tree has antiseptic elements that can aid in controlling naturally occurring microbial levels that can result in different forms of scalp irritation.

Benefits of Organic Shampoo and Conditioner ProductsAnother popular ingredient in many organic shampoo and conditioner products is beta glucan. Beta glucan has immune-enhancing properties both internally and topically. It helps to soothe inflamed cells of the scalp, which is particularly beneficial for people who suffer from skin conditions.

True organic shampoo and conditioner products offer a wealth of benefits for your hair and scalp that will be immediately noticeable. Organic products gently infuse your hair follicles and skin cells with natural minerals, herbal extracts, and oils. If you are looking for shampoos that stimulate healthy hair growth, look for products that are made with aloe vera and coconut oil, as they naturally moisturize your scalp. If you need enhanced shine and moisture for your hair, organic shea butter is an important ingredient to look for in your organic shampoo.

When you use organic shampoos and conditioners, you're also helping your environment by letting bio-degradable substances go down the drain and not harsh chemicals.

There you have it. More and more reasons to go organic when it comes to your hair products!

What to avoid in shampoos - why to go organic

There are tons of things to avoid when shopping for organic hair products . I did some research and came up with a quick list of ingredients you should try to avoid when selecting organic shampoos and conditioners. This list includes things that will dry your scalp out, can irritate oil glands and deteriorate hair follicles.

  • Sodium Lauryl Sulfates
  • Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate
  • Derivatives of Lauryl Alcohol
  • Mureth Sulfate
  • Propylene Glycol (Antifreeze)
  • Olefin Sulfonate (Deodorized Kerosene)
Doctor's Note: Sodium Lauryl Sulfate is known to cause cataracts in adults and improper eye development in children.² Despite this knowledge, this ingredient is commonly used in most store-bought shampoos and conditioners.

Global Healing Center.com had those listed as the most common and I think it's a great list to get started with. Beware of those ingredients when shopping for organic hair products and keep you scalp build-up free.

Joy Perfume - Created With Care

I know I've talked about the history of joy perfume frequently but I found some new tid-bits to add. Some of the information is reduntant to an older post but I think it's important to realize this isn't just a fragrance, it's history! Found this lil description on fragrantica.com (cute I know):

JOY was created with a lot of care, just like the most expensive Haute-Cotture dress, and thus it was extraordinary and timeless. It was presented by Jean Patou as 'the world's most expensive perfume' right at the time of The Great Depression in 1929, when the market of luxury fashion crushed and Jean Patou's house could survive only through the perfumes.

JOY is created of rare flowers in unique concentration of 10600 flowers of jasmine and 28 dozens of roses which adorn the exceptional heart of this perfume. With the time JOY attains enormous success and became the second best selling perfume of all times (the first best-selling is the legendary Chanel N°5).

Intense and luscious with alluring floral composition, JOY was created by Henri Alméras, who made its top notes irresistibly delightful. The composition starts with fragrant jilt tuberose, luscious rose, ylang-ylang blossom, aldehydes, sweet and mouthwatering pear, and green notes. The heart beats passionately in pure and sweetly fresh jasmine notes, seductive and balmy spicy and darkened iris root. The base whiffs with sensual musk, warm and milky-powdery sandalwood, with mild musky civet tones.

The bottle, of simple and straight lines with a golden thread around its neck, was designed by the architect Louis Süe in 30ml, 50ml and 100ml sizes for Eau de Parfume and 30ml and 50ml sizes for Eau de Toilette. Regardelss of its simplicity, the bottle leaves an impression of luxury and hints that its content is one of the best perfumes of the world. In 1932 Jean Patou designed a small black and red bottle in which this perfume is also presented.

Ahhh yes, the joys of Joy perfume!
